Key Policies

Before You Book or Attend an Event

Please review the summary below before submitting a booking request or signing the required agreement and waiver.

Booking, Payment & Confirmation

  • A booking is confirmed only after the required booking agreement is signed and the required non-refundable deposit or full payment is received.
  • A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve an event unless full payment is required.
  • The remaining balance is due no later than 24 hours before the scheduled event.
  • Bookings made within 14 days of the event require payment in full at the time of booking.
  • Failure to complete required payment steps on time may result in cancellation without refund.

Cancellation, Refund & Rescheduling Policy

  • Client cancellations are non-refundable. Payments are not guaranteed to be refunded, credited, transferred, or reduced.
  • The cancellation policy may apply to illness, scheduling conflicts, venue changes, reduced attendance, guest cancellations, travel issues, personal reasons, or other circumstances outside the client’s control.
  • Rescheduling may be considered as a courtesy, but it is not guaranteed.
  • If a reschedule is approved, the event must occur within 12 months of the original event date and remains subject to availability.
  • If no agreeable rescheduled date is available, payments remain non-refundable unless otherwise required by the final signed agreement.

Weather, Water & Safety Authority

  • Safety is a priority. The Salty Siren LLC has final authority to determine whether weather, water, road, venue, or event conditions are safe.
  • Unsafe conditions may include lightning, thunder, heavy rain, flooding, flood warnings, unsafe creek or river conditions, strong currents, high winds, tornado watches or warnings, hail, ice, excessive heat, poor water quality, dangerous wildlife, unsafe roads, or any unreasonable safety risk.
  • If the client cancels due to weather after The Salty Siren LLC determines that conditions are safe, the cancellation may be treated as a client cancellation.
  • If The Salty Siren LLC cancels because conditions are unsafe or performance becomes impossible, the remedy may include a reschedule within 6 months, subject to availability, or a refund for services not rendered if a suitable replacement or reschedule cannot be provided.

Photography, Video & Media Release

  • The media release includes a preference option where clients may choose whether The Salty Siren LLC may use photos or videos of the participant or minor for promotional and marketing use.
  • If permission is given, photos, videos, or recordings may be used for lawful business purposes such as social media, website, advertising, printed materials, publications, educational presentations, or future promotional campaigns.
  • Media use does not include compensation.
  • Photos, videos, and recordings remain the property of The Salty Siren LLC when created as part of the event or media release.
  • Participants may still appear incidentally in background photos or videos during public events.

Performer Interaction & Guest Safety Rules

  • Guests may not pull the mermaid tail, climb on the mermaid, grab hair, touch the performer’s face, feed the performer, throw objects, or enter the performer’s changing area.
  • Parents and responsible adults remain responsible for child behavior and supervision during the event.
  • Children may not hit, kick, push, pull tails, throw sand, rocks, or other items, or enter deep water without a parent or responsible adult.
  • Services may be modified, suspended, or terminated if guest behavior, venue conditions, alcohol or drug use, harassment, lack of supervision, unsafe animals, or refusal to follow safety instructions creates an unreasonable safety risk.

Animal & Pet Policy

  • If pets or animals are present, the client is responsible for ensuring they are secured, vaccinated, controlled, and non-aggressive.
  • Animals may not interfere with the performer, costume, setup, guests, or event safety.
  • If animals create an unsafe condition, services may be modified, suspended, or terminated for safety.

Emergencies & Force Majeure

  • The Salty Siren LLC is not responsible for delays or inability to perform due to events outside reasonable control.
  • Examples may include severe weather, flooding, natural disasters, government orders, epidemics or pandemics, civil unrest, road closures, utility failures, emergencies, illness, injury, or unsafe conditions.
  • If performance cannot reasonably occur, The Salty Siren LLC may reschedule or issue a refund according to the signed agreement.
